CAE (Cambridge English: Advanced)
CAE Certificate is higher and more challenging than FCE. Learners take exams after accomplishing the Advanced level (C1). Passing this exam confirms that the learner possesses a very solid level of English knowledge and students reach a full standard of language in most situations – at work or when studying. It is accepted as a proof of English knowledge when entering most universities in Great Britain.
This exam has 5 parts:
- reading (1 hour and 15 minutes)
- writing (2 hours)
- use of English (grammar) (1 hour and 30 minutes)
- listening (about 45 minutes)
- speaking (about 15 minutes)
