Lingua Forum 2005
The lectures focused on current developments in language learning for all age groups. Furthermore, there were exhibits featuring the most recently produced textbooks; and several knowledgeable people attended the forum from the foreign language education field (English, German, French and Spanish). In short, this was the content of the
Lingua Forum 2005
conference organised by the
Caledonian School
in cooperation with
Oxford University Press
and
Max Hueber Verlag
publishing houses.
Lingua Forum 2005 took place on March 8, 2005.
Michael Swan
(Practical English Usage, Basic English Usage) and
Adrian Doff
were two of the well-known English textbook authors who spoke at the conference. Representing the German language, were authors
Andrea Mackenses
and
Wilfried Völker
.
Almost 400 teachers from all over the Czech Republic were introduced to new didactic methods that value innovative ideas based on the interactive approach. Participants were encouraged to apply their theoretical knowledge during afternoon workshops at the Caledonian school.
