Caledonian School TEFL course Job Guidance Program
After you successfully complete our TEFL course in Prague, and receive your Caledonian School TEFL Certificate, you will be ready to start your adventure teaching ESL around the world.
During the job guidance sessions of the course we’ll show you how to create a CV/résumé and cover letter, prepare you for interviews and tell you about the current ESL job market worldwide.
Our experienced Job Guidance Counsellor will meet with you individually to discuss and give advice about different employment option in Europe and around the world.
Caledonian School Job Guidance Program includes the following topics:
- Specialized advice on revising and/or preparing your CV/résumé for ESL teaching and writing an ESL cover letter.
- Individual career guidance sessions to discuss your employment intentions after the course.
- Professional advice on ESL interview structures and techniques.
- Open-group ‘question and answer’ sessions on aspects of the current ESL job market.
- Lists of employment opportunities and contact details for schools, both in the Czech Republic and around the globe.
- Professional references available upon request from your course tutors.
- Life-long job guidance by email/phone contact at any time after your TEFL course.
Week 1
In week 1, trainees participate in a group session on how to modify their CV/résumé and cover letter for the ESL market.
Week 2
In week 2, trainees participate in a group session that covers:
- preparing for an ESL interview
- interview techniques
Week 3
In week 3, trainees participate in a group session that covers:
- choosing where to work
- conditions in various countries
- what to look for in a language school
- teaching in the Czech Republic
