Cost of Living
The prices of most things in Prague, from dining out to food shopping, are sharply lower when compared with Western European countries.
Transportation and travel expenses within the Czech Republic are extremely cheap. (Full-time teachers have their Prague inter-city travel pass paid for by the school, one of our benefits).
To purchase a mobile phone costs from US $50 (1,000 Kc) to US $200 (4,000 Kc), depending on the brand you choose.
One person spends about € 200 (5,000 Kc) per month on food. For an evening out, expect to spend about €10 (250 Kc) for dinner and drinks. Please note that currency rates and prices are subject to change.
