Language Audit
Caledonian School will assess your employees‘ language level for you.
Caledonian School will provide complex testing of your employees‘ language knowledge in a form of an audit. A language audit consists of:
- a written part (about 60 minutes),
- an interview with the student (10–15 minutes) - there are two teachers present. One speaks with the student and the other writes down an evaluation of student’s performance,
- a Needs Assessment Form – a questionnaire which helps to find out the student’s priorities in language learning. It also helps to prepare lessons with a specific focus, based on the students‘ needs. If a client is not interested in this part, the questionnaire can be omitted.
Audit results:
- The final language level is stated in accordance with the Common European Frame of Reference for Languages.
- The results of the written tests are given in percents.
- The results of the interview are given in points (the scale and explanation of different levels are a part of evaluation).
- For each language level, there is a defined set and level of language skills a student should have. Based on this and the audit results, a goal of studies can be set for each employee, taking into consideration the length and intensity of language learning.
There are two possibilities for testing:
a) Written test on the Internet + interview with Caledonian School teachers
b) Written test and interview conducted by Caledonian School teachers
Advantages of a language audit:
- objectivity
- promptness
- compatibility with Common European Frame of Reference for Languages
If you wish to evaluate how well your employees are prepared for business communication in English or French, a language audit can be conducted in the form of an international language exam - TOEIC.
