Regular Courses

Regular language lessons for continuous progress

Regular language courses are the traditional and most common form of language learning with a teacher. In Caledonian School, we use modern approaches to language learning, specifically the communicative method. Regular language courses can fit everybody, as we are able to adjust them to the needs of our students.

  • Ready-made courses (courses designed according to the Caledonian School curriculum)
  • Tailor-made courses (tailor-made courses that fit the specific client’s needs)
  • We teach English, German, French, Spanish and Czech for Foreigners. It is also possible to study other languages with us.

Depending on the students‘ needs and their language level, it is possible to choose a special focus of language learning:

General Language (suitable for levels Beginner A1 and on)
General Language courses focus on the language itself, with an emphasis on communicative skills in everyday life. This programme is the most common of the public courses or in company courses and is for those students who do not need Business English. As a part of General Language teaching, we also offer preparation for international language exams.

General Business Language (suitable for levels Pre-Intermediate A2 and on)
This type of course is ideal for students who want to gain experience with communication in a business environment and improve their professional potential in an English-speaking business environment. These language courses focus especially on business oriented skills such as making phone calls or business correspondence.

Business Language (suitable for level Intermediate B1 and on)
Topics in these courses are drawn from common business environments, but students study them in greater detail. They learn business vocabulary and practice real business situation such as giving presentations, business correspondence, negotiating, etc.

Language for Specific Purposes (suitable for level Upper-Intermediate B2 and on)
These specific courses narrow down the use of English to a one specific area – e.g. finances, IT, accounting, law, human resources, etc.
