Types of Studies
Type 1 - English
20 lessons a week
Basic and most common type of course. This type of language course has the largest number of teaching hours for one language (more than 744 classes in a school year). Students can complete their studies by taking the Cambridge Exams (PET, FCE, CAE). The choice of exam depends on the students’ starting level and their progress during the course. Classes take place in the morning.
Type 2 - Spanish, French, German, Eglish
10 lessons a week
This type of post-secondary studies is especially popular with those students who cannot devote much time to language studies. This course is not accredited at the MSMT (Ministry of Education of the CR) without the combination with another language. This course can be a good complement to university studies.
Type 3 - English in combination with another language (German, Spanish, French)
20 lessons a week
Choice especially for those students who cannot dedicate much time and energy to studying but still want to study two languages in one year. Overall, there are 20 classes a week in this type of studies (10 English classes and 10 classes of another language). Classes take place in the afternoon.
Type 4 - English in combination with another language (German, Spanish, French)
30 lessons a week
An ideal opportunity for those who decide to dedicate an entire year to studying languages. This demanding programme allows studying two languages. Classes take place in the morning and afternoon with 30 classes a week (20 English classes and 10 classes of another language).
Type 5 - English + two other languages
34 lessons a week
This form of studies is a variation of Type 4 in combination with a third language. For the third language we recommend choosing a language in which the student has achieved a certain level of proficiency. In this type of studies, there are 34 classes a week (20 English classes, 10 classes of the second language and 4 classes of the third language). Classes take place from 9:00am to 6:00 pm.
E-learning
Supplementary course connected to studying in a language course at school. Each student has a yearlong individual study plan which increases the effectiveness of studying a foreign language.
